Is It Time For The RIGOP To Divorce Itself From Trumpy Trump??

13 April 2024

Rhode Island Republican Chairman Joseph Powers

Rhode Island Republican Party

1800 Post Road, Suite 17-I

Warwick, RI  02886

Dear Chairman Powers:

I hope this message finds you well.  Thank you for not being the normal Christofascist who runs the Republican in the modern era.  I remember my first trip to the Statehouse with Rep. Ed Smith when I was a 14 year old in 1981.  You remind me a lot more of the Republicans from back then.

As you know. Trump goes to trial Monday.  That means we should see a number of threats on Truth Social over the weekend.  We will also see another attempt by right wing media to distract us all.  They have already tried with that silly Speaker Johnson “non citizens shouldn’t vote” nonsense.  However, most of us educated folks know that only 30 tried last cycle while 293 Republicans got indicted for voting improprieties.  This was a dumb road to go down.

In case you’re keeping score, Trump had fake Marines at Mar-a-Lago last night.  This was after doing that thing with real cops up in Wisconsin.  Yes, a campaign finance complaint is being prepared.

We are also not distracted enough to forget that Trump threatened President Biden.  We have yet to hear an apology from anybody in the Republican Party.  Considering that the Trump family has usurped all of your down ballot cash for his legal bills, this is not exactly a surprise.

What may be toughest for you to get around in the state of Rhode Island is what he called my family.  Whether it is my birth or my adoptive family, he referred to them both as animals.  Did he forget where his wife came from??

Who were you supposed to go into different communities when a lot of families have only been here for 5 or 6 generations when the guy who runs things on your side calls everyone an animal??  Just looking at the Rhode Island Electoral map, what races were you supposed to win??  I don’t expect you to admit this in public but did you send a message “up the chain” telling leadership, well, leadership not named Trump, that your job was getting harder and not easier??

But that’s not all.  This week, your Supreme Court sent the laws in Arizona not only to a place that is pre-Civil War, but goes to a place where the age of consent for a young lady was 10 years old.  Do you have any 10 year old nieces??  You like the idea of them being raped and then forced to carry the baby to term??  When your Party is not intentionally hurting women, you are trying, as a Party, to engage in another coup or at least install a dictator.

The worst part for you is that you are in a blue state.  Didn’t you just lose someone in a leadership position that cannot be replaced??  Did that make your job easier??

Pat Serpa is finding out that hanging out with the forced birth pig crew can be expensive for your own community.  That’s the reality here in Rhode Island.  Most of us are normal.  At the extremes are the Republican Trump supporters and the fake Democrats who treat women like property.  Those clowns use their Catholicism as an excuse.  The reality is that 68% of Catholics vote Pro Choice because Matthew 5:17 in its original translation teaches us Jesus approved of that and was cool with gay people.  Would you rather hang out with people acting like Jesus or this creepy collective??

I do promise to never break the law.  West Warwick found that out the hard way.  However, the collective has to have the free market pounded into it until the collective disappears.  What does the day after that happens look like in state politics??

Yes, I am a supply sider having read Wealth and Poverty in college but right now, a local Republican could come up with the best idea for the Rhode Island economy ever, planning to only live here half the year I only benefit half the time but still, but I could not help them due to their allegiance to Trump.  That means the fake mafia women hating clowns, the “Providence mob” has been managed out of Boston for 2 decades now, get to steal more, costing everybody money.  That means when the Progressives in our state come up with a cool idea but miss an unforeseen circumstance it costs everybody money.  That means in general, all of Rhode Island suffers because you want to stay connected to a whack job.

Just look at the Washington Bridge.  I did not vote for McKee in the Primary or the Final.  Why??  He’s always been a corrupt wannabe mafia type who relied on Lombardi, the reason why West Warwick is getting sued now as to later, and Polisena, fake fetus boy himself, to get elected.  Between Alvitti and McKee, how much grifting will go on as the Washington Bridge gets repaired??  You and both know how he operates.  However, no one is going to take you seriously on the issue due to Trump.  Is Trump worth watching some of your neighbors not achieve their financial dreams because waste you could have prevented under normal circumstances became routine??

Here’s a thought.  Why don’t you be the first.  Trump knows he can’t win Rhode Island so it won’t cost you any money that Trump was going to steal and spend on his families.  Have you looked at your Senatorial and Congressional candidates??  One of them tries to be more Trumpier than Trump daily.  Call it a day.  Rip off the headset on live tv. Explain to folks that Christian Nationalism and Conservatism aren’t the same things.  Otherwise, your Party is dead.  Soon, the volunteers will have nothing to do.

By the way, when I say dead, I’m literally being literal.  COVID and old age does a Hell of a job.  60,000 rape victims being forced to carry the kids to term tells the women what to think.  Is this how you want it to end??  What about the violence Trump is going to dog whistle at??  Do you know anyone that could fulfill Ashli Babbitt’s role in a future event??  How would you feel if somebody you care about died on behalf of Trump because you chose to do nothing??  Here’s your chance to be famous and do the right thing at the same time.

Thank you for your time and consideration.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In Hoc Signo,

Robert T. Oliveira
