Did It Make A Difference??

1. The original negotiation started previously to August of 2016??  Then it dropped off the map for almost 3 years?? We need more public pressure.
2. In the recitals it says one of the goals is to keep priests who are still committing these crimes from doing so.  There have been no arrests that we know of since July when the MOU was announced. Fr. Cardente is still doing his thing in North Providence.
3. Let me repeat that – the MOU has been signed and Fr. Cardente will celebrate Mass this weekend in North Providence.
4. The Diocese is supposed to be assisting with procedures.  Who believes Bishop Tobin, who has colluded with a former Governor’s wife and the State Police in the past, is actually doing that??
5. The Diocese was supposed to provide access to all files.  We know the list they provided is incomplete and fraudulent.
6. Nothing in this MOU has had any effect on anything.

If we don’t see some arrests soon, starting with Fr. Cardente, we must come to the conclusion that law enforcement leadership is not interested in pedophilia.  That’s all right – everyone has priorities. We will use the free market to handle it ourselves.

(I might be critical of the MOU itself.  However, please do not let that reflect Special Assistant Attorney General Kayla O’Rourke.  Ms. O’Rourke produced the document quickly.  Ms. O’Rourke is also helping with other elements of the request.  A disagreement of policy should never reflect on staff.)
