Another Reason To Nullify

Dear President Stone:

 

I hope this message finds you well.  So far, it has been a wild day. There seems to be an armed insurrection being instigated in Virginia.

 

I am writing to you about a Federal Agency.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement is also known as ICE.  From what we have been told, ICE is now taking DNA samples from asylum seekers, separated children, and others.  Please allow me to be clear – close to 70% of us do not support the actions of ICE in this nation. That means by definition that there is a 70% chance anyone sitting on a jury does not approve of ICE.  70% of 12 is a little more than 8.

 

As of today, it is difficult to take DNA collected from a subject here and have it magically show up at a crime scene over there.  However, science is trying to fix that. We know most of your members would never engage in allowing such fraudulent evidence into a trial.

 

Please notice I said most.  There are some creeps among you.  Just like there are some creeps among you who become judges and then side with the prosecution every single time making it look like racism is present.

 

We have noticed a number of cases, including some rapes committed by cops in Brooklyn, where former prosecutors became judges and rendered horrible decisions.  Everyone looking at the decisions, see a cop who wandered into a house and shot somebody on their couch down in Texas, thought racism. The problem really was after working with cops for years, the former prosecutors thought the judicial branch should just go along with the program.

 

Therefore, those of us who are not bigots and believe in justice have to make a decision.  In any case where it looks like a defendant may have had their DNA collected by ICE at one time, we will nullify every time DNA evidence is used against them.  We will communicate this message through the usual social media channels.

 

This will be especially true in blue cities where ICE is already hated.  Even if the technology does not exist to magically replicate DNA, we will pretend that it does.  The Brownshirts working for ICE deserve nothing less.

 

You can thank President Trump for this trend.  For instance, if anything happened to a member of the Administration or just a lowly Trump supporter in a blue area, what is the likelihood you could get a conviction even if you put on the best case imaginable??  Pretty much none because blue streets mean blue juries. I guess you should be thankful that most people on the left like to hold up signs and yell at buildings.

 

You can get out in front of this.  You could tell ICE that collecting DNA is hurting your cause.  You could make it clear this is unacceptable behavior that could cost you guilty verdicts at a later time.  In other words, you could do the right thing.

 

Yes, you can expect this issue to show up in election after election.  We prefer District Attorneys who do not have tacit agreements with the Brownshirts.  We prefer trials that are fair and just. We would prefer not living in a country that maintains concentration camps.

 

I am sorry that may tone had to be this way but millions of us are upset at what is being done in our names.  With any luck, we will fix it this November and everyone can go back to living normally. If not, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
