Dear Mr. Turtle:
As you know we are releasing you today. We hope we have selected the right pond. Unfortunately, communication is a tad difficult.
I’m just happy we found you when we did. You were wandering between all those cars in the parking lot. I was definitely afraid you would get run over. You were picked up and brought you into the store. They found a “display case” for you and we added water. When we got you home, we added a rock and started feeding you.
Again, sorry if the diet wasn’t totally what you were into. We were guessing at best. Because we found you on a rainy day, we held you away from the pond in case there were any environmental problems.
I suppose I should apologize on behalf of all humans for that too. We are causing a lot of environmental problems all over the place from climate change to algae blooms. I hope you are not overly inconvenienced.
