Dear Mr. Burritt:
I hope this message finds you well. Due to the Epstein suicide/murder/alien abduction, today has been just wild. I was hoping to do a little something today that will bring both sides closer together for once.
The vehicle to bring both sides closer together is the Betsy Ross Flag. I chose your station because you have featured a number of guests who have defended continued use of Betsy Ross.
No, it is not Betsy Ross’s fault her flag got hijacked by white supremacists. At the same time, since it has been, it is also not the fault of people who are the targets of white supremacists to react in a negative way whenever they see that particular flag.
Would it be possible for you to run some PSAs that condemn racism and remind everybody at the same time that it’s not the flag’s fault that we are in this situation?? If we can take the flag back in this fashion, then folks on my side can relax when they see the flag since the racist elements are being condemned.
Otherwise, we’re still going to be in a world where somebody goes on your show to defend the Betsy Ross flag and another somebody upon hearing so starts to make a list of your advertisers. While the “right thing to do” in some cases, we can remove the Betsy Ross flag from that target list with a little work.
